Calling all teachers! The Multicultural Children’s Book Day team is challenging you to read multicultural books to your class. When you do, we will send you a free multicultural title for your classroom. Take the 2016 Multicultural Children’s Book Day Classroom Reading Challenge!
Multicultural Kid Blogs is a co-host for 2016 Multicultural Children’s Book Day. We are honored to support this celebration of diversity in children’s books.
In addition to talking about how important multicultural kids books are, we want to encourage you to take action and share them with kids. The Junior Library Guild agrees. They are sponsoring the Classroom Reading Challenge and providing 200 books for classrooms and teachers. When you read 4 multicultural books to your class, you will receive a pre-screened, library-quality book that maps to Common Core.
Reading multicultural books is its own reward, but we know that it takes a conscious effort to build a classroom collection of diverse, quality books. We want to help! When you share multicultural books with kids, we will contribute another book to your class.
The people behind Multicultural Children’s Book Day know you choose books for your class with care. The Classroom Reading Challenge rewards you for including multicultural titles in those choices. Get all the information and register your class to participate when you visit Multicultural Children’s Book Day Classroom Reading Challenge.
